02-18-25: Yahoo! dividend dates are unreliable. Need to hold on longer 🙁
12-10-24: Basically, I think I’m suffering from FOMO by not selling this. I did miss out on selling at the peak in August through a trailing stop. My uneducated guess on the trend is that it went up when the it looked like there would be a healthcare-friendly government and plopped when that seemed less likely and is now steadily declining as that reality nears, even though it isn’t known what will actually happen, only that there are some aspirations for change. My JStock is set for the full dollar up and down from the current price and I will re-evaluate when one of this trip or the dividend pays out in February.
11-11-24: In the probably-not-a-coincidence department, HLN dropped with GSK. I mentioned earlier that I had lost about 30% on GSK, though I did not take into account the HLN spin off because I forgot about it (hey, you know why I have this blog, right?). Well, sort of. In my other set of notes I have “Boomer health play. Good margins, bad debt. Spin off from GSK”. I am working on consolidating here.
I also forget why I set the JStock alert where I did, but it went off today. I suspect because it is a high possibility that said boomers will be getting some budget cuts come mid-January. And I’m probably not the only one that thinks this was spun off to reduce debt from the parent. Overall, I’m not doing too bad with it, so will hang on and watch.
