iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF (IWF)

03-04-25: Set a stop loss that tripped.Since the Chase account is so limited, I went to move the proceeds to Fidelity. They flagged this as suspicious behaviour and I had to spend 90 minutes on the phone with a drone to get access back. If it wasn’t for all the partial shares that I don’t want to drop, I would close the account.

01-14-25: Dropped back below $400. Unfortunately, it is in my Chase account where I can’t set a trailing stop, so have to keep watching closely. Grrrrr.

11-11-24: Broke $400 today. Looking at the history, there was a sustained drop back in ’22. I’m going to set at 10% trailing stop, because these are paranoid times.

07-05-24: Hit $378 today. Raising JStock to $360 and $399. At $360 will consider a trailing stop at $342 and will review the climate at $401. Following up on the $375 alert led me to this interesting read about when value stocks start moving up.

06-05-24: Breached $350 today. Raised JStock to $325 and $375.

02-03-24: About a year later, it is on a tear, above the $320 alert I set last year. This index has been volatile the last few years. I’m watching if it dips below $315, I will put in a stop loss for $302 and jump back in when it drops below $250. I’ll raise those amounts if my $350 alert goes off.

01-08-23: In down markets, the Russell index tends to recover first. I will hang on to this until it starts to dip post-recession.
