If I can buy a stock that rises quickly after purchase where I can then sell enough to keep some while recouping my initial investment, I consider it free stock and can generally ignore it (though wish I had paid more attention to NVDA!).
Even better if it is the result of dumpster-diving, and it varies from house’s money because of the short time frame.
